Chris Hadfield is a former commander of the International Space Station, and one of the rare astronauts who made space feel personal to millions of people on Earth.
I photographed his talk at the Lütfi Kırdar Congress Center in Istanbul in 2025. On stage, he moved easily between scientist, storyteller and musician — explaining life in orbit one moment, picking up his guitar the next. The challenge was capturing all of it: the precision of someone describing a spacewalk, the warmth of someone who knows when an audience needs a laugh, and the quiet focus of a man playing music to a full hall.
